What is A Privacy Statement

A Privacy Statement sets out the way in which information collected by a web site about a person is handled by the web site owner. This is important because visitors to web sites should be informed that personal information about them is being collected, and how such information will be used. Privacy Statements are drafted in accordance with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) which are embodied within the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
